How long has your company been in business?
10 Years functioning as Gaylord Merlin Ludovici Diaz & Bain, but much longer as a part of another Eminent Domain law firm.

What is the most exciting part of your business?
Being able to help individuals who would otherwise not be able to assert the their rights under the law.

What methods do you use to communicate with your clients and prospects?
Our primary method is still through targeted direct mail, however our web site is growing in traffic and social media marketing has made a huge impact over the past year.

What are your biggest obstacles?
Finding the best projects to target and market towards. In addition, like all businesses we are not exempt from the current economic conditions.

What sets your company apart from others in your industry?
Simply--the people. We have an amazing group of attorneys and staff that are the best at what they do. Beyond that, we are truly a family at Gaylord Merlin. Nothing can beat the feeling of working with the best people in the field.

What have you found to be your most effective marketing effort?
The combination of GIS, public documents, and direct mailing. Also, constant follow up with potential clients.

How are you using social media to promote your business?
We are using social media specific to our industry to drive traffic to our website and through phone calls directly to our office. Specifically we target AVVO.com, lawyers.com, Facebook.com, Twitter.com, and our blog, to create a inbound marketing strategy.

How has technology benefited your business?
Tech plays a huge role in what we do. 80% of our marketing strategy is based upon industry specific tech. We are constantly looking for new ways to use the tech we have with emerging technologies to increase our marketing ROI.

What is your goal for the next 5 and 10 years?
As any organization our goal is to continue to grow in revenue and profits over the next 5-10 years. However, as a small firm we constantly look for ways to retain the culture of our small family like firm.
